Ghostwriting Rates
The Inspire Literary Group’s ghostwriting service provides you with an experienced team of professional writers and editors who work to create a book that can be published, often by large and mid-sized publishing houses. Our process is outlined below.
The Writing Team
Editor in Chief: The editor-in-chief oversees the process to ensure that the book is staying on schedule, features high-quality content, and meets your expectations. The editor-in-chief collaborates with the writer/ghostwriter during the planning and outlining phase and provides ongoing editing and consultation throughout the process.
Writer/Ghostwriter: The writer/ghostwriter will be responsible for developing the drafts and revising them per your feedback.
Final Editor: The editor-in-chief performs the final edit of the manuscript to ensure it’s of the highest quality.
The Writing Process
1. Questionnaire: We’ll send you a questionnaire to fill out, informing us of your goals and expectations.
2. Introductory Interview with Writing Team
3. Preliminary Research and Preparation: We’ll review all available drafts, articles, notes, outlines, and other relevant materials in preparation for the Strategy Sessions.
4. Strategy Sessions—Planning and Outlining: Intensive in-person or virtual planning and strategy sessions to plan and outline the book.
a. Scheduling: The editor-in-chief will establish a schedule and timeline for interviews and deliverables.
5. Publishing Strategy Discussion with Troy Anderson
6. Developing the Draft: The writer will write the manuscript, one section at a time, and revise each draft until it meets your satisfaction.
7. Ongoing Review: Throughout the writing process, the editor-in-chief will review the manuscript to improve the writing and offer their feedback and consultation on the overall quality and direction of the work. These rounds of review typically occur in three phases: (a) upon completion of the first chapter and introduction; (b) upon completion of one-third of the manuscript; (c) upon completion of two-thirds of the manuscript; and (d) upon completion of the entire draft. The writer will discuss substantive issues with you and implement the desired changes.
8. Finalize the Draft: The editor-in-chief will meet with the team to ensure all parties are satisfied with the draft and approve it for final editing.
9. Final Edit: The editor-in-chief will edit the text for grammar and provide a final round of analysis and consultation.
10. Final Review: With the completion of the editing phase, the editor-in-chief will discuss the project with you and provide his final approval of the manuscript. At this point, the manuscript is considered complete and is ready for the publishing phase.
11. Query Letter and Targeting Agents: We’ll provide you with a custom-written query letter and assist you with targeting agents. We can also develop a book proposal upon request.
12. Publishing: Our service includes two years of publishing consultation to assist you in securing a publisher or advising you on self-publishing options.
